About Me

With over twenty years experience as a clinical therapist, and a graduate of Wayne State University School of Social Work, I specialize in cognitive-behavioral therapy and work with a broad spectrum of clients.  Among my areas of expertise are addictions, mood disorders, personality disorders, family and adolescent issues and driver's license restoration.

I was trained in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) through the Beck Institute of Philadelphia and was trained in coaching through the College of Executive Coaching in Santa Barbara, California.  I utilize Motivational Interviewing (MI) techniques in my practice and received training in the Motivational Interviewing Statewide Training of Trainers Initiative hosted by The Michigan Association of Community Mental Health Boards. Having worked over eleven years at Henry Ford Maplegrove Center in West Bloomfield, I have extensive experience counseling adults and adolescents with addictions.

I am an interactive, solution-focused therapist.  My therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges.  I integrate complimentary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client.  With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they’re striving for.
